The Prototype III (SOLD)
Prototype III featured the addition of finger hole rings made from hard rock maple and a mouthpiece and bell ring made from ambrosia (or spalted) maple. I think the bell ring and finger hole rings add a nice aesthetic touch. Technological changes included using a router table to trim the flashing before joining the two halves. This necessitated using rubber bands to clamp the halves during bonding since there was not enough flashing to use spring clips. This seemed a good trade off since finishing the seams was much faster and alignment of the two halves was easier. By far, the exterior finish on this serpent is the best by far.
